It was explained in earlier chapters that they drink mead and eat stuff in their realm, but got real bored of it all.

ah right. tho i wonder if /those/ were just offerings from 'normal' believers as opposed stuff that magically are just replenished in their realm (surely there's some foodie cooking/farming god that would be able to have food in their realm or just give that as a skill to a human or so to be a great farmer or so)

be amusing if some of their food was somehow sent to the mortal realm and it ended up tasting amazing to the average townie

You missed the scale of the mithril mine. The gems are rare sure, but they are luxury items and have little practical values; also not a lot of them. A mithril mine produced tons of the stuff, have military values, and boots the economy of the country as a whole.

i know the pound cake is probably the best cake he'd ever have but feels like for the amount of help with him not only doing the selling but keeping mukouda from getting ripped off. though since he's the more serious one he'd probably refuse if offered a cut. probably should accept in that case tho just to keep the guild's ledger from staying red.
