Ha! Earlier today I was commenting in the JK Modeler's Guide manga's comments how Japanese neighbourhood cops keep themselves so unnecessarily busy (at least in my Western eyes). Now we got a second such incident in a manga chapter, the very same day.

Goro's mom got two more spirit foxes to admire.

I gotta say, I wanted a little more from the flashback for Kogane's mom and dad. That said, it did play out kinda like I predicted, with Kogane's mom following Kogane's dad back to the village and that being the whole courtship. We did get the intriguing detail that Kogane's mom is one of those naturally occurring yokai, like Yotsuyu. The search for a candidate for god (or goddess) is ramping up, and I can't wait to see where it goes. Thanks as always to sarusa and thumper.

Personally I would be a bit scared to take a fox from a rock, considering the most famous example.

I have to admit I did not even think of how troll-y that title was while typing it. I get so deep down into the details of making sure the translations are right that I kind of lose sight of some things - which is why I have someone who's not a weeb (Thumper!) PRing it. In hindsight of course you're going to think that was Goro, so... soz!
