No clue what type of yokai this big bad is, but pretty scary he's got over 60 'tame' yokai like furutsubaki. Obviously the end of their first year is going to be a shebang (but we're only halfway through).

The new big bad is a little bigger and badder than I expected. tame yokai and grudges against the fox village? Another strong storm on the horizon, it seems. But, if Mogami-sama isn't worried, why should I worry? Thanks as always to sarusa and thumper.

^ I second this, also laser them or a pot of boiling oil is fine too :)
Too underkill. Send them to Hell, same-day delivery.
edit: Pot 'o boiling oil is too slow and tormenting. I'd rather use somewhat immediate, maybe funny methods like:
  1. Final Destination-like death
  2. Death ray (like the laser you said)
  3. Rod from God
  4. The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.
In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was.
The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.
  5. FIREBALL!
  6. Spontaneous Combustion
  7. One of many -inators created by Dr. Doofenshmirtz
  8. and more!
If you wanna go slow and tormenting,
  1. MKUltra
  2. Aforementioned Pot o' boiling oil
  3. and more!

Uhm, hello mangaka-san? This is supposed to be a 4-koma comedy. You auditioning for Shounen Jump or something, trying to degenerate this into a battle arc manga?
Well, he has an overall plot in mind that he's had since the first chapter (little did we know) and he needs to advance it. All this drama/fighting was over in 15 chapters, which would just be the warmup for a Jump series. Now it's back to fluff. Honestly I don't need the Drama, but I do like the Lore? I really like that this mostly fluff series has an overarching consistent plot and isn't just cliche romance hijinx. YMMV.

But he did warn us back in chapter 80.5 or whatever. This is what he wants to do with his series. Which is his alone, no corporate interference. Totally unpolished for good and bad. Reminds me a lot of the author Imitation Crystal, though their styles are totally different.

The overall big bad could be a minor god or a tatarigami. So while they would outclass the humans and the foxes, to Mogami-sama, they mean nothing.
Yeah, my big question with this chapter was 'Why doesn't Mogami-sama just squash them?'. There must be some larger goal she has in mind. Quite likely related to restoring the land god for this area.

In addition, although she's a greater God, she isn't the local God and the area falls under the domain of other gods.

It seems like she can't openly act in that territory even though she has the power to. So she has to rely on corporate bureaucracy to get things done in that territory.
