I fully knew what I expected when the punchline was being set up … but then it landed, precisely as expected, and I still fucking lost it. Comedic timing is one thing, but comedic punchline is a different art entirely and the artist definitely knew what they're doing.

The arc is indeed a draggy mess and Kino's gag density is growing to an almost annoying level, but the humor itself definitely didn't deprecate.
