That uh. Takes a lot of moving parts to work exactly as planned

Well, it's the first few chapters, they need to establish how SMART and COOL and STRONG the protag is, so I'll give it a pass. If they don't fuck up somehow for the next run, then I'll be a little disappointed

WTF, really difficult to believe.

How can you be so sure that the dude will stab at that spot in the back of the vest anyway? Anywhere else and the lady is dead.

The faith is already messed up because Martin Luther is already dead in 1546.

In chapter 3, Mia said that this city is Lowenburg and in 1585. We just wait that the riots will become what we call today as Thirty Years' War.

@ampnaman I think they're operating on the assumption that the priest will aim for the heart from behind, basing it on the previous "resurrection". And they did mention the vest opening would be wide... Still a huge stretch, but hey, it's manga!

The first few tricks are fine, but that last one with the fake sword stabbing through a pipe, getting bent and then straightened again without that murderer even noticing anything is wrong? Firstly I don't think that trick is even possible. Secondly, there's no way he wouldn't notice when he stabbed. Thirdly, there's no guarantee that he'd even stab in the right place where the pipe was.

that's why the entry pipe is big as fuck. It covers for the entire area that he'll stab through.

They probably put something that resembled human flesh in the pipe so that it still felt like there's resistance in the stab.

There is a guarantee though as to where he'd stab. Stabbing someone through the heart is a guaranteed kill since stabbing through anywhere else wouldn't be convincing and can be passed off as mere luck

The only thing that's based on luck here is how he'd stab the woman.
if he'll stab her on the with the blade on it's flat or with the blade turned.

Other than the sheer luck they'd need for Filippo to stab at the same place twice, that was a fantastic ruse. I didn't expect the other twins to cooperate with their performance either. I guess that guy was convinced that Filippo was full of shit and decided to avenge his brother.

@Baitinstyle - Even that last part isn't luck. You pretty much have to stab someone in the heart with the blade held flat, otherwise it can't slip through the rib cage.

I'm rather concerned that he enjoys scaring people with magic more than entertaining people with magic.

Wait wait wait, how did Filippo, who always wants things perfetto, not notice that his sword was floppy? Also, how did he stab the second twin exactly in the prepared pipe? It's like he was in on it.

Yeah, that last trick relies on way too much luck and I guess you can "hope" he stabs at the right spot and doesn't feel anything is off too much...

His sword bending and then re-straightening itself without him noticing? Yeah, no.

lmfao that last page

so could the popes on the cliff see the second noose in their point of view and call him out?

He has to stab in roughly the same place as where the prepared bloodstain is on the other twin, so we know he's basically aiming for the heart. So combined with the comment about the ribcage, I don't think it's too much of a stretch that the sword would hit a decently sized opening. The bending though? I don't think theres any way for it to be both stiff enough outside of the trick to not be noticed and bendy enough to easily pass through the channel.

tin isn't floppy, just "soft". still stiff, but malleable. it holds its shape but you can bend it with your bare hands quite easily. the only real problem is that for the curve to be gentle enough for it to actually work, it would have to stick out from her back by a noticeable amount. he would definitely notice that.

Also for the hanging the fact that the rope is going into her gown could be noticed from the side. but also missable if he's not paying attention since her hair helps conceal it

At first I didn't think I'd like this since there wasn't real magic but that was totally wrong. I love it.

So that Perverto guy just happened to cooperate perfectly to insert that flimsy sword in the precise spot behind the shoulder where the pipe in that chest piece was? ... sigh.
And why on earth would that twin guy cooperate with "the devil". He and his brother agreed for one of them to die already because their belief in damnation was so strong that they were willing to go through one of them being murdered so they could be absolved of their sin of being twins. This is just fucking stupid.
