God this spirit sex is just so damn stupid. Fate really struggled to do it, and I could have stomached it before this arc, but now it's annoying. There is such a thing as too much fanservice, and when the line between hentai and ecchi is gone, when the plot seems like something out of porn, that's the point, and this manga has gone way past that line. Less is more, man.

@Yautja But its still a fight? Just because tiddies exists, doesn't make it porn. Largely because it isn't actually the focus at hand. Your issue is that you see the nudity but only nudity: you're filtering everything else and that's somehow supposed to be the logical PoV. This is disingenuous. Fan service can be stupid yes, but that's largely a fault of an author or illustrator, not the manga itself per se. TLDR: it's seinen for a reason.

Secondly, who gives a damn about eechi anymore? Honestly, it's an unfunny relic of the early-mid 2000s shounen tropes and it doesn't add much value on it's own the way I see it. Then again, I do enjoy reading this so maybe that's just me.

@nobaka It being a "shitty arc" is nothing more than moot and frivolous by now, was his point. Which 9/10, all the people who saying the arc was shit(who can be summed as "I don't like this" w/o a modicum of meaningful exposition or explanation as to why their opinion makes sense). All while missing the "seinen" part. Not liking something or being out of your tastes(ie because of how dumb the author is doing the story or how) is one thing. Bitching about extremes while not really saying anything at all, is another... and some of us hardly have the energy to talk such such people anymore. Rest assured I'm not talking you specifically when I say these things, just a rant and two cents.

Just because there's a fight in it, doesn't make it not porn. The fight, half the time, is also the porn. Every single one of like the past 5 chapters has had this tentacle bullshit or outright sex or something. And every since that bullshit spirit sex was introduced, it's happened at least once every other chapter, if not every chapter. Good luck convincing anyone honest that shit at the end is actually just a fight.

It isn't my issue, the manga pushes it in your face every single chapter. Would you argue Nande Koki Ni Sensei Ga is anything other than porn? The only reason they aren't labeled as such is because you can't see the genitals. A porn with a story is still porn. A story with porn is also still porn. The point remains, there is such a thing as too much. This is too much and should either cut back or just go and be a porn manga. And "Seinen" doesn't mean filled with gratuitous and poorly justified sex.
