Love the detail of them clearly having residual feelings(and possibly repressed memories) from the past timeline and it being the reason why they begin to trust a lot faster then normal. Usually in these do over stories they wipe the slate clean and they may as well be new characters.

At page 8 is exactly the reason why the party was duped in the very last moment. All three of the hero's party was naive as hell, despite donning a mask of maturity. I don't know much about Gonzo but he hasn't been giving much value as of now. They trust and love people too much that it was ultimately used against them.

A web novel is just uploaded onto the web for anyone to read it for free. A light novel is actually published and sold for money. Many series start off as a web novel, and after attracting enough of an audience and hopefully catching the interest of publishers, the author polishes up and fleshes out the web novel to make a superior version that will be sold as the light novel. There may or may not be substantial changes to the plot. If the light novel sells well, it may be adapted as a manga, or even an anime. That's the general progression. It's not exactly necessary to make a web novel first, but it's a good stepping stone for newer authors who don't have industry connections yet.
