Do these people ever think of calling a doctor if the person is so feverish as to be delirious?

The numbers the author picked are kind of weird. Like she makes ¥500k a month and has enough power to just get him fired but 500k is only $5k usd which is $60k a year. That's not a lot of money, a single person can live off of it especially in a non expensive area but it's not the kind of money you could just flex. If this story took place in the bay area or nyc she would be considered poor.

Donno man money works diffrent in each country you cant just convert it to dollar and call it a day. You need to talk to an actual japannese that knew how living there felt like

@Zack77070 maybe you live in the rich part of town that’s why everything there is expensive 60k is already decent for a family as long as you aren’t living in Beverly hills or something.

@Zack77070 IIRC, it's her net income, so likely after taxes. She lives alone, in a not too luxurious of an apartment. Single, no visible hobbies. 60k per year should be fine.

@gladiatorua ik it's enough to live alone on but the manga portrays her as wealthy and powerful. She got the mc fired to be her servant, you'd assume she's making a lot of money if she has that kind of pull. $60k after taxes is more like $75k in America, I have no idea what the Japanese tax rate is but I assume it's not that different. Google suggests the median income in Japan is like ¥4 mil so her salary before tax which I'm gonna guess as like ¥7.5 mil definitely puts her higher than average and probably upper middle class as a single adult but it's not fuck you money like the author suggests.

@Zack77070 She didn't fire him. She pulled some strings and headhunted him, which is a lot less difficult. Plus he does the cooking, which is going to save her a decent amount of money she usually spent on eating out.
