Each of the last few chapters have introduced characters and concepts that are called upon later. From the method by which the swordswoman empowered herself, to the dynamics between the characters and how that foreshadows their development and the ways in which they influence later events. But instead of picking up on, entertaining the notion of, or remotely giving a fuck about any of that, people are mad because the author isn't non-stop jacking off the MC and is instead doing a bit of world building via character interaction. Sometimes I love seeing comments, and then other times like today I hate it. I hate seeing a bunch of idiots upset when anything other than "Me MC, me hit strong guy, but win because me strongererer guy" is on the page. "What's that? Someone looked at the MC funny? Guess he better kill them", cry the idiots of the comment section, with no thought to how that may be a bad idea in the setting and a boring option overall. No wonder there's so many copy paste chinese cultivator comics out there, idiots like these are waiting to eat that shit up.

Sorry for wasting the time of anyone who bothered to read that crap. Just annoyed.

@Salfaro When he, Tomoe and Mio registered at Zetsuya, the receptionist said the highest level adventurer was Sophia who allegedly killed Mitsurugi to get Dragon Slayer title. Tomoe dissed Mitsurugi as the dragon who fools around a lot.

The last chapter we had that focused on mc was freaking 48, 7 months ago. Every chapter since has been MAYBE 5 pages of mc/co (people we have been following and give fucks about) then the rest of the chapter focusing on characters we've barely seen and we don't care about.

We all know the author is trying to world build and add new characters, but the author is doing it poorly, we don't care about these randoms and have been given no reason to care about them, yet we've only seen them for the last seven fucking months.

Edit:just to put this perspective, the last time we had a chapter focused on mc THERE WAS NO GLOBAL PANDEMIC. Thats how long we've been in side character purgatory.

Giving them a bit of time so it doesn't feel like these characters came from nowhere is fine. Giving them a bit more time to introduce mechanical concepts is also fine. Giving this much time to generic shonen fights with characters people don't care about is not. We didn't need an entire chapter's worth of panels to demonstrate 'life force magic exists' and that disposable side character 235 used it to seppuku.

It would be fine if it was executed in an entertaining way or gave some better world building, but it hasn't really introduced much of the world to us to warrant the several-month drought of stuff we actually care about.

holy shit i don't care for the other heroes, from that goddess bitch just focus on our boy smh (I've been waiting too long for him to interact with the other heroes that i don't care anymore)
edit: to clarify, i have a problem with the pacing of this-- i don't think it's a bad thing to introduce new characters and help us get familiar with them. However, it releases a chapter once a month and i can't wait that long for our boy to finally interact with the others character just to get (possibly/inevitably) back stabbed its not worth the waiting time. (this problem can be fixed when the series is over and ppl don't have to wait a entire month for a new chapter and can just breeze through the series, but im pirating it so automatically my argument is invalid)
