They’re expressly NOT considered married yet, that’s why the option of having new girl steal him away is consider viable, that’s why he’s not ALREADY a duke, that’s why he has to keep lying.

She can only work off the information provided, ironically if he had told her “hey I’m a scum bag only in this for power” she probably would have said yes. As he is now she’s gonna be miserable in the marriage regardless because he only sees her as a tool and when you no longer have use for a tool you don’t worry about taking care of it anymore.

Actually this is more interesting imo lol. Now I don't feel that bad seeing him getting denied every time by Rose. And seems like the spoiler would involve Rose actively push the other girl for Rein. Which seems funnier after the reveal of Rein's motive.

I mean I think its atleast original he isn’t thirsting for the female lead completely. All he’s really wants is the title and he hasn’t broken any of her boundaries yet. Plus, this is a political marriage forced on both of them and you have to consider before this point his only impression of rose is spoiled trash. We the reader may see roses inner thoughts but from his perspective at most he’s giving the false affection and affirmation craved for most of her life before she realized how spoiled she was. Ultimately, though lets see how this goes. I think there’s lots of room for growth with this concept of enemies to lovers in this otherwise generic manga.

Of course, the girl she's hoping can steal him doesn't stand a chance, because he has a goal and that girl ain't part of it. Assuming he has his shit together.

What she probably needs to do is actually explain her suspicions to her father (i.e., "there's no way this guy actually likes me; he's trying to trick/use us and we shouldn't trust him") but I assume her communication disorder would thwart her.

He wants the title, regardless of what she wants, and he don't mind manipulating her to keep the engagement.

Yeah I had a bad feeling about him a couple chapters ago. Like I know they’ll probably end up together regardless cuz romance manga rarely dares to try anything unexpected, but I personally hope she succeeds in fending him off.
