So the theory is that the creature actually eats metal and not flesh.
Also it should dig through the sand I guess? Other way it couldnt have space to swim and apear.
That aside, if they ate the head, then they ate horse, not fish.
ah yes eating raw fish fish from the sea, you definetly wont get any parasites or diseases that way (they most likely wouldnt be able to infect humans but it would give you an upset stomach)
no just no, humans stopped eating our food raw after we invented fire, there's a reason across the globe we cook our food not only is our digestive systems literally evolved to eat cooked food but fish have parasites, they should NEVER be eaten raw just like chicken have salmonella, not every fish and not every chicken but is it worth the risk? no.
No it's not that it's just that most animals and food(like chicken and bread) are not suited for eating raw and have extremely chewy meat if you try. Fish is the only rare exception where the raw meat isn't chewy and if prepared correctly it's safe to eat. Another possible and likely reason is cus it's hard to prepare it properly and requires training so most of the time the people of the past preferred just cooking food which is simpler and has an equally as good taste and texture if prepared well enough.
I'm interested to see if the author plans to make creative fish dishes from fantasy ingredients, or using fantasy ingredients to make Japanese/our world's version of fish dishes, because if it's the former, I would love that (though in reality, I'm pretty sure its the latter atp)
