Yeah its edgy dark comedy grim. But the entire premise has established absurd ass pull possibilities from the start.

Even if the reason or method may be lame, there's curiosity at seeing how and or why Haru lets these things happen. She is somewhat invested in MC and must have had a contingency in place. Whether she expected her to go yandere game end or not, there are cards in play that have some sense of intentional world building.
