Why? What about it was bad?Nahh no way. A soviet book got a manga!?
Edit:
Nah what the hell, this fell off hard asf.
I'm totally biased, but you should read it. You should read it for the atmosphere, the mystery and the spooks. Take all I'm saying with a pinch of salt though, as I haven't read it for like, 3 years I think. Also if you're interested in slow burn yuri. Why? What about it was bad?
I'm trying to decide if I want to read it.
Did it really "fall off hard" at some point?I'm totally biased, but you should read it. You should read it for the atmosphere, the mystery and the spooks. Take all I'm saying with a pinch of salt though, as I haven't read it for like, 3 years I think. Also if you're interested in slow burn yuri.
This is either bad bait or you're manga-only. As someone who is caught up to the novels, it's slow burn yuri. Please have some patience.this is a very decent, albeit sometimes too dragged out mystery / supernatural manga with two protagonists at the center.
however, this is not yuri.
i just finished chapter 49 and there is still nothing there.
if you're looking for a half decent yuri, don't read this.
i hope they remove the yuri tag from this.

Ditto what Areodax said, but it should also be noted that the manga adaption is going a lot more slowly than the novels were (which again, were already slow burn). The manga’s been going on for 6 and a half years, but so far has only adapted what took the novels 2 and a half years to cover. The manga says “volume 14” but we’re not even done with Volume 4 of the novels, and Volume 9 of the novels came out last year in Japanese and is coming out in English a couple months from now. This is either bad bait or you're manga-only. Prismatic, and anybody else tired of waiting, just read the novels. Major spoilers on what’s in the source material, if you need more convincing:
we are fast approaching the first kiss scene: it’ll be within this File, probably 2 or 3 more chapters depending on how they pace things. Also, they’ve fucked in Volume 8 of the novels, which the manga is less than halfway to. So, if you want that without waiting another 7 years, seriously just read the novels.
Gonna have to buy the ebooks. A good place is here: https://j-novel.club/series/otherside-picnic but you can also find them on the iBook app if you have an apple device, and probably more places, but I haven’t needed to check for other places.Where can I start with the novel?
