It wouldn't be a difficult issue to explain away but I'm a few chapters in and her size hasn't come up. High elves are supposed to be very smart so it wouldn't be a stretch to say they are smaller than humans.

Unfortunately the MC is dense as fuck and his love interest is worst girl. I would have liked the elf better but even ditching the romance entirely would have been better than this.
