Are "Friendly Neighborhood Senile Old Perverts" allowed to attend?
If so, It would make for a great road trip on my motorcycle!
It would be nice to have it any time between mid to late Spring and early to mid Autumn to allow me decent temps for such a ride to any part of the continental USA.

Yes. It was several years ago when I made my "Four Corners" road trip on my Goldwing and I got to meet several members of my home group, Death Toll Scans. I had a lot of fun on that trip. I'd love to meet some Mangadex people at an anime con, (Where they MIGHT feel safe from my corrupting influence!), and I would enjoy the trip itself, no matter where in the continental USA it might be.

The people on this website are way to spread, but I think that if there was a big announcement that it was going to be hosted and at least like 6 month's before it, then I think people in North America would be a bit interested, like I would see if I could come to us just for the convention or whatever.
EDIT: also for people as young as me it would be better to ask their parents, to visit us for vacation/just come to the convention

It's probably a good idea to find a place with good security cuz the third option seems to be the most favoured answer. Seems like almost half of us (including me) think that this site is filled with axe murderers.

There is no point in seeing how many people are against, just for. And you'd have to at least state what state it would be in, maybe even city, since that would make a difference in who might attend. Someone who might be willing to pop over when works done won't spend days off plus plane ticket and hotel for some meeting of strangers on the other side of the nation.
BTW, I am prejudice against axe murderers, I'll never work with those murdering jerks. Sorry, I am just prejudice like that. If any ax murderers attend, I'm out for sure.

Honestly, something like this is best scheduled at major conventions for meetups similar to fansubbing meetups in years past. Have meetups at Anime Expo, Otakon, and maybe Anime Central.
I remember like 10 years ago we had a big fansubbing meetup at AX and over 50 of us went to some local Chinese restaurant. People worried about the "FBI" showing up are silly. They literally used to hold fansubbing panels at conventions when that was still relevant and the only thing that ever happened were a couple of the more vocal English VAs eventually complained about conventions allowing said panel to happen lol...

This is just me being biased but English VA's are big turds that should no longer be recognized.
A convention wouldn't be a bad idea, but the problem is that most conventions are coming up soon and some people seem to want ample time to make plans. Seeing as we have over 500 people that said yes to the meetup. I don't think going to an anime convention will be enough for that many. We would need our own space to introduce our special ax murdering skills.
