Ahh... Daikichi with Kouki's mom would've still been better. It'll take a while to get over it.

tbh if author wanted to go that route, perhaps a male cousin or even reina would have been a better romantic interest. i don't have too much against rin liking daikichi (she is in the midst of puberty) but i really am crossed that daikichi didn't know better than to agree to being an item. i think daikichi is mature enough to realize that kids can develop somewhat romantic feelings for their parents and it's the parent's job to help them grow out of it and realize that these feelings are actually genuine appreciation, love and affection instead of true romantic love.
