I don't really understand how, but looking at some later chapters, it almost feels like the author's art skill has DEVOLVED significantly since the beginning. Just me?

Edit: I take it back, seems like he just had a bit of an awkward period in the middle between switching styles.

Edit #2: Dropping it at Ch. 80. What did the author do to my man baku's hair. And I don't care about the larger plot that is getting built, so.

This is one of the best mangas I´ve ever read. Im Currently on chapter 300 and any arc so far feels underwhelming.

I haven't read the raws so I'll assume that this near-death game will probably result in the "leader" persona of Souichi being killed off while Hal becomes the only one left

This series was written in a weird transition for Seinen manga. It doesn't take itself to seriously while still hitting on the themes. The pacing is weird and the artist seems to always be adapting their style.

Its kind of reminds me of Keisuke Itagaki's work [Baki] in the way that the author kind of just goes with the flow and doesn't worry about the plot to much. Also in the fact the author likes being as bombastic and fantastical as possible.

Really impressed with the scanlators pacing. They must work around the clock or have a decent sized team for a scanlator group. Really wish Karakuri Circus and old series like it also got out this fast

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if reading this is even worth it? Honestly. I just wanna know since it has a lotttttt if chapters. It is probably extremely time consuming to read this. So before I give this any time of my day, I really wanna know if it’s worth it and why????

Does the Mc become the boss or something? ( because I do enjoy those type of themes). But if it’s only about gambling and shit and about the Mc becoming the best gambler or something. Then in that case it’s not really worth for me tho.
But I am curious for the answer. Thanks in advance ✌️

@Rosa029992435 the MC's goal is to become the boss, through gambling. the first half of the story is good if you like political drama type stuff and sets up a lot of stuff for the second half where the plot, characters, symbolism, and other literary elements are all super planned out and detailed. the 2nd half of the manga is the best of any manga I've read so far overall, with a lot of hidden parallels, connections, and callbacks that deeply explore the plot and characters & give it a high reread value.
it depends on whether you think the first half (~250 chapters) is worth getting through to reach that point though. fwiw the current arc has people using concepts from game theory like the Nash equilibrium to try to figure out the players' logical next moves and figure out the situation, lol.

The finale is really getting exciting but i think there will be many questions left open with so little chapters left.

Btw. is there actually a schedule or an announcement when and how many chapters are translated? Cause some of you always seem to know when a batch is complete.

I have always said I would never be able to read a manga this long in my lifetime.

I was so, so wrong. I love this manga and almost everything about it. It didn't pick up until the second arc for me, but it was a big snowball from there.

Can't wait for the end that's so close.

It's kinda strange that the manga is ending but this looks like it could be another 200 chapter storyline.

...man, it's completely translated, and I'm still at chapter 200 or so.
