It depends on what the contents of the pre-recorded streams are. But in general, they still are pretty popular.

And in the case of vtubers, there are the VODs (Video on Demand) for those who can't get to watch their livestreams for whatever reason. Of course not every vtuber offers VODS, especially if the stream is one of the unarchived type.
