He is gonna survive somehow, I’m feeling that some big ol coincidence is gonna happen to allow him to escape after his special move does next to nothing.

Nah, I think the demons are going to have the hardest time out of all the enemies. They seem pretty disjointed, with all the demon kings separated from each other and their boss apathetic to the situation. Neo Humanity moves like a line of insects, completely synchronized. Combined with their intelligence and superhuman abilities, it's probably better to manipulate the meathead enemies and have them bring chaos to their daily lives.
We also haven’t even seen the demon king yet,and might not see him for a long ass time since it only comes out monthly. The king could be super OP to even put how weak the rest of the demons seem to be so far.

Thanks for the translation.
Seems like nobody's expecting Alio to last 4 more pages but I'm thinking he slips out of this somehow. It just feels off for a character who received so much screen time and internal dialogue to get fodderized in 3-4 chapters after his introduction. There's no need to feed him to the neo humans to sell their strength, going toe-to-toe with the giants is a good enough feat already.

unfortunately I can't see how Alio gets a win here when the basic premise of this series is that no matter how strong the humans are, they are totally outclassed by the natural enemies, so the only way to win is to pit the natural enemies against each other. hoping he gets to pull something off anyway

i don't know why everyone seems to think that haiji girl is a traitor, bcuz i think implication from this chapter is that what the new-humanity smells was "emotion", we can see none of them give care to aught with the giants attack, and with Alio and Ryamu is in constant state of stress, that's how they can tell the moment they enter.

and even if they can actually "smell" old human, i don't think that Haiji know it, if the new-humanity is willing to let old human do something until then they destroyed it, it's plausible that information is unknown to them.

Honestly, what would be the “point” anyway? The entire plan was to direct the two natural enemies against each other in the first place, so him showing them that this world’s humanity could pose a threat to them is rather counter-productive in terms of keeping themselves low-key.

Everyone is saying he'll die and for the most part I agree. BUUUUUUT!!!

But if he does survive it will be because the remnants of the rebellion cause a distraction and rescue him via the sewerage system to old humanities subterranean slave city.

Or
He gets captured, enslaved, tortured and experimented on and comes back as a cyborg brainwashed antagonist.

I know this manga wants to really give us the sensation of the struggle but i just hope this don't become a tragedy porn where every arc most of the good guys get horrible killed, to much death just make me feel detached from the charaters to the point that we just expect everything to fail and everyone to die horrible deaths.

Aw man, I really liked the mage girl, she was cute
Also, that guy's gonna either die at the very beginning of next chapter or off screen

You know what… I've changed my mind. Looking at the normal humans of Neo-cruelty World, I think Alio will survive… while being disfigured, bandaged and having his mind broken, like Haiji and her companions. Given that he's a womaniser and an ikemen, and the pervading despair of this series, it feels appropriate.

Yeah, honestly, I feel like the author has already kind of written himself into a corner. Like the power scaling is way too off and what in the hell are they gonna do about the 47 demon Kings? Like why did there need to be so many? Again, we'll wait and see, but it's not looking good. I'm thinking maybe the plague world will take them out Or perhaps the God world. Hopefully the story goes the Attack on Titan Route where the characters start underpowered in the beginning, but over time catch up to the enemies.

"Terror, in it's truest sense, is not a static state, but a dynamic one. It is the moment when hope turns to despair"
