Now if only everyone could be smart enough to figure that out, since by reading the comments its quick to see some are lacking.
Also seeing retards like supermoonchrome as I go through the comments as I finish catching up is pissing me off. Do people honestly think modern ideals never existed before our time, that everyone always followed their time and places morals, that if we sent people back then that all would give up our modern (and my many measurements objectively better) system of morals and ideals just to fit in and not improve then. Sounds like the people who say their only being good and all due to laws (or what they think they God thinks is good and says is divine law) and not cause their humans with empathy and a brain. Do 50IQ idiots think modern ideals just came to be when we entered the modern era and that people who thought different didn't exist who spread different ideals or proved their effectiveness, in times all but brushed with the a broad stoke (read fewer sources) you get that, with some people against slavery describing views similar to that of the modern state (if ethnically similar tribe slavery) or race (if racial) while making their moral arguments against slavery (I actually can't remember any good cases of its economic retardness being a main argument even though that might shame the weak ego slave owners easier, "You'll make more money if you treat them in a way that makes them work better and not have sleepless nights planning to kill you!", eh why actually intuitive to show it data wise is much harder) especially more privately, as publicly especially when trying to be elected they can pretend to follow some ideals about those groups, a few cases of following some racial ideals can be seen of abolitionists in America (though rarely the idea of ending slavery would instantly lead to racial violence, not retarded or deserving enough to think its real) that they are more against privately can be seen.
People who can't understand it more subtly need it explained more heavily handily really need the words given to them outright "Why must we do things that way when other ways exists" when it comes to the message of the manga and how you should also apply it to yourself now, why I can accept it cause some people do need the message more heavy handed given to them to get the point someone is making, Though if we didn't need authors to give it more heavy handled for idiots we won't need stories about such messages. Sometimes you have to realise an historical setting is actually a good backdrop as people being more reasonable can look more out of place alongside people whose foot in the ground ideals are more obviously flawed to us....its only an inaccurate representation of history if everyone was acting like it.
