There were a lot of progressive / SJW stuff at the end of their scans after some interesting stuff. And people doesn't like politics in their fluffy manga if politics doesn't exist in it in the first place. Ch16 has a great example in it. The end page is just SJW sayings.

I don't really read Mangadex comments so I had no idea how triggered people were getting over this other group. I mean blocking an entire group over credit pages?

@SirBatu Right, but are people only skimming through the manga and then carefully dissecting the credit page? This manga has lot a politics in it. It's about a man coming straight out of years of schooling and not being able to find work due to the marketplace being domineered by personality rather than skill, and only being able to get a job when looking into a sector with less competitiveness which he ends up finding much more fulfilling. Chapters have been about company bosses abusing their workers and even in this chapter they talk about how higher taxes and the introduction of social programs can reduce overall monthly losses for most of the population which ends up with lower prices on goods. I mean I'm pretty sure this group chose this manga because it fits with their political views.

@Boag It's almost as if having people with large sums of money pay for necessities that otherwise eat most people's budgets means people in the working and middle class have more money to spend, which stimulates the economy. Who'd've thunk it.

So...people were so distracted by fanservice that they failed to realize that the manga itself espoused progressive ideals and was critical of current business practices, and, as responsible translators, the former translators gave the reader the context to understand what practices were being criticized when they weren't common outside Japan (e.g. mid-career recruitment), and people want to crucify and slander them?

Here ya go: POLITICS ADDRESSED IN THE CURRENT CHAPTER: high taxes to support social welfare (less money in individual pockets, but that money buys more, AND people not dying of starvation or in poverty because of a broken healthcare system).

If you don't like it, you're in the wrong manga. It's not the translator's fault.

Most people here understand the politics in this manga. In fact, it was pretty upfront about its critique of black companies and toxic work culture from the onset. No one was distracted by anything.

If the translator actually used the credits page to explain and give context to the themes present in each chapter, then that would be great, but that isn’t what happened. The group has been translating since ch.7, yet it took them until ch.19 to actually say anything pertinent to the chapter itself. If I recall, ch.16 featured a strawman about immigration, ch.17 a random MLK quote, ch.18 some bs about hate speech and ch.19 actually talking about stuff going on in the chapter (though, ironically, the only subjects that likely didn’t need an explanation).

Most people here accept the politics of the manga (or else no one would be here), but they care about the politics of the manga itself — not the translators’.
