@NPark92 the chief knows, but it's probably an order from higher up, and he's gotta task someone to investigate, so his best option is to give it to the ones who would never expose the truth about her than risk some other team finding out about there being a woman in the magic bureau. Just have them spend some time pretending to be gathering information, then have the investigation report be something like

"Our investigation was inconclusive. Perhaps there exists a woman can use magic despite being female, but perhaps it was a guy dressed in female clothing because of some strange hobby, or perhaps a male magician was casting magic nearby and it looked like it came from her. The first is the least likely option, given the lack of prior incidents of such people existing. The second is quite plausible, and the third, while unlikely, is neither impossible nor unheard of. However, all reported sightings of this woman ceased several months prior to the conclusion of our investigation, so there does not seem to be any reason to search further at this point in time"

OK so from my understanding, 'couples' are formed when a girl who can't use magic pairs up with a guy who can, then by being with him boosts his magical power as a result? So since our MC can use magic hers can be boost up as well. I hope I'm understanding correctly
