I don't think they'll be 'endgame' but i don't think this story will be long enough (unless the editors/audience viewing is high enough to add more volumes), but it would be nice if they did a nuanced/mature take where MC does date her childhood friend, and them both realizing they're better off as friends and they both move on to a more suitable partner lol (which would be good if they were 'real people' but if it's a fictional fantasy story where the author is just projecting some wish fulfillment of a first love working out, i can understand if the author wants to do that kinda 'happy ending', considering back in the day with some BL stories where there were couples way more toxic that ended up staying together but those were more smut focused lol)


There's not a tragedy tag but feels like it might need a 'psych' tag at least
