Something I have always wondered about if its just in manga/anime or also in real life Japan.
Why is it such a big/embarrasing thing to have someone use your first name?

It's a mark of more closeness than using someone's given name is in most anglophonic countries. The big embarrassing deal is that its an outward mark of growing closeness, an expression everyone will notice that you are closer with each other than with others.

If it is Fukayasu, she's not being mean or anything by asking. She wouldn't dare to talk badly about Ayaka
since she views Michiru and Ayaka as royalty that's above the rest of the class.

I know, that's why it seemed weird she was seemingly bullying Aya. I guess if they never adapt vol 2 it won't matter, but I was really hoping they would

Pretty good so far, I'm enjoying the drama, angst and Aya doing the most teen thing possible: believing herself to be above all the the BS everyone goes through.
