maybe we'll see a spinoff but i can totally imagine, if he doesn't get a baseball scholarship(?) for him to choose to go to college/live in a place far away to where motoko can't travel and 'mooch' off him later if she does end up being a stereotypical shut in neet or so (tho i can imagine a future where kii is being her 'caretaker' or so if she doesn't found some niche job where she works in an otaku shop and makes a living even if she doesn't get a lot of money)
