@BlueSmoke577 Bro what the fuck are you on? All I said is that lesbian relationships aren’t inherently sexual and assuming that they are is pretty shitty. Obviously I can’t speak for everyone but I don’t think saying “I think [insert pairing] is cute. I hope they end up together,” automatically means that someone wants to see copious amounts of yuri porn out of the manga. Besides, as I previously stated, it doesn’t fucking matter anyway! This series isn’t gonna end in a romance in any stretch of the imagination. When I said it’s gonna end open ended, I just meant that it’s likely gonna end with a lot of room left to guess what happens in regards to Tomoko and her friend’s futures.

But yeah sure go off about how lesbians are degenerate or whatever and would somehow be more out of place and offensive to the manga’s tone and story than an ending full of blood and gore????

@rin_rin I dearly hope it does not veer in to yuri. As you said it's perfect as is with the subtleties and hints. But that's pretty much what Shoujo Ai is about. Girl friendships that teeter at crossing the line between friends and lovers, which this veers in and out of periodically.

This will probably end in the graduation ceremony with Kuroki and her friends walking off into the sunset or something.

@Gravewind Understandable, still I'm seeing also predicting the posibilities that them girls will get over it and date guys instead while kinda leaving tomoko behind. So the romance part of this manga is always just about being buddies to me (it is cute alright i get it), boys do the same thing too albeit with different methods. Slice of Life stonks in here, meanwhile if i wanna read romance i'd read something else instead (early parts of Horimiya is sick as hell). Again what I don't understand is why the hell is there someone hoping this manga to be an actual yuri? All of the manga's worth will go to waste by going yuri. trust me. Have a nice day.

Page 7 is... both melancholic and happy, she looked at the places she used to hide at before getting any friends in school, a reminder of how far Tomoko has come.. (writing this made me cringe, sorry about that)

I've binge read this since yesterday and as other people have said it feels like this manga is close to ending, which is both a blessing since dragging it out could ruin it and sad since if it ends we'll need to rely on the author doing a spin-off or maybe a sequel, which would probably not do as well as this since it loses the "I'm not popular" label

wouldve prob liked high school in my last semester if old rona didnt enter 😪
...same 😭

Uchi’s surprise arrival and overt weirdness was absolutely hilarious to me.

Although the comments are a couple years old now at this point, I’ll still never understand some of the arguments taking place here. People saying that the entirety of the series would be utterly ruined by containing any amount of canon yuri bewilder me. Doubly so since many of the same people also seem to feel a het relationship wouldn’t cause any such problems. The double standard and hypocrisy seem abundantly blatant, yet they still appear utterly oblivious to it.

It’s always tiring to find such hate and vitriol sprinkled in among genuine discussion of the chapters. One group simply enjoying and laughing about the chapter’s events, while another is dialed to eleven and pumped full of piss and vinegar. People need to find their chill, and just embrace what this story has always been about: melancholy, nostalgia, and the bittersweet taste of naïve youth experiences.
