Not everyone forgetting Mai because of Satsuki and Ajisai arc. Did ya'll forget that Mai jumped down from the school building with Renako? She even tried to spare her time after a tight schedule just for Renako. She also still keeps her Rema-friends relationship with Renako even thought she wanted more than that, but she kept a hold of herself so that she wouldn't make Renako felt uncomfortable with her. She is not just a pervert like ya'll thought. In chapter 38, she tried to hold herself from her desire and only kissed Renako 3 times just so that she wouldn't feel like defeated by Satsuki. She accept Renako and understand that Renako just want her as a friend.

By “jumped down … with renako” you mean “accidentally tackled her off of a roof” right? I acknowledge that making time in a busy schedule is very thoughtful, but every other example of “efforts“ that you listed was just exercising basic self-control, which ought to be common to every functioning human being.
