Lowkey, I've debated dropping the translation and I've been struggling to find the motivation to continue this series, hence why uploads have slowed down a lot.
The reason I picked up Watanare was because a lot of people on Discord were sad this series wasn't getting translated and since I really liked the series, I wanted to revive the manga for the community. But yeah, for the past, 5-6 chapters, it's just been people hating on this series which makes me wonder... why am I translating this if everyone hates it?
I'm maybe, 2 chapters away from the Japanese Release? Once I catch up, I think I'll have to decide if I actually continue this series because I don't know anymore. Especially since now fans can just pick up the Official volumes when they eventually came out

I've just noticed it has one, and even though it's technically true, I really prefer the way Dynasty is handling those kinds of sensitive tags. Plastering it on the series as a whole may imply it's a major theme, instead of the author's one-time fuckup.

Honestly this manga pisses me off. Ajisai is such a darling while Mai is just overall a shitty person, constantly pressuring and taking advantage of Renako. While Renako is definitely horny for Mai (but she's horny for pretty much every girl), what she feels for Ajisai totally seems to be romantic love, with just some idealization, which is expected for someone their age, especially since Renako has always been a loner. Ajisai's arc is about Renako coming to terms with her being an actual flawed human being (even if those flaws are very very minor) and not an unreachable angel, and that she herself can learn to accept her own flaws. And Mai's arc is trying to brainwash Renako into believing she's willingly taking part in this relation and not just being sexually abused, while Mai doesn't give a shit about her personal space and doesn't know what "no" means. And we all know Mai's gonna get Renako in the end anyway, probably after minimal reflection and no repercussion for her actions.

I agree with most the things that you mentioned. I dislike Mai, she’s too good at everything, rich and she forces her way to get anything, I get why Satsuki was so pissed off at her.. she really can’t take no for an answer.. I hate that the author will g f follow the troupe where the protagonist will always end up with the first girl who is introduced to the protagonist, in this case, Mai.. I really dislike Mai..

If a romance manga isn't currently generating a wave of unrestricted simping, all you will find there is negativity that will drag you down.

yeah I don't know if the translators are still reading this chapter's comment section but I'll say I have been really enjoying your work. And I'll be honest, I've been spoiled on how the series is supposedly going to end, by choice too and that has made my reading much more enjoyable in a way. It's a lot easier to trust the author if you know where things are supposed to be going.

Though even then I can't imagine it's fun for y'all to see such waves of hate-reading every time a new chapter is translated because like honestly Mai isn't even that bad some people just truly cannot read a story about women without going "who is the BITCH who is at fault for everything wrong here" and it's just like. That is a bad way to read yuri lmao.

I attest to that. Sometimes I want to write an essay, sometimes I want to rage. But in the end I often just devolve into the neutral "thank you for translations!" simply trying to not overburden thread or translator.

Also I believe all the comments, negativity included, is a proof of just how engaging the manga is. There's nothing worse than to have an interesting project and not a single comment under it!

I think you, @kikouma should be proud of all the work put in the series and just how heated people get over it! It's great.

Satsuki won't be back until the major arc after the next (LN vol 5 equivalent, we are entering vol 4 now). It's Kaho's turn now. Satsuki will appear once or twice though.
