What about it is unreasonable, though? In Renako's eyes, she has to choose one over the other, but she also wants to be considerate of them both, which is why she doesn't want to hurt their feelings. It's mostly just unreasonable in context, she's madly in love with Ajisai and not with Mai, and Mai has broken her boundaries and assaulted her before. So given that, it seems rather insane for her to put them on the same level when considering going out with one. Kaho provided a very good solution to it in dating Ajisai while Kaho comforts Mai, solves all the issues. Poly is also a solution ofc, and where this manga is definitely heading towards, but like, Renako is only madly in love with one so it still feels weird
