Not everyone forgetting Mai because of Satsuki and Ajisai arc. Did ya'll forget that Mai jumped down from the school building with Renako? She even tried to spare her time after a tight schedule just for Renako. She also still keeps her Rema-friends relationship with Renako even thought she wanted more than that, but she kept a hold of herself so that she wouldn't make Renako felt uncomfortable with her. She is not just a pervert like ya'll thought. In chapter 38, she tried to hold herself from her desire and only kissed Renako 3 times just so that she wouldn't feel like defeated by Satsuki. She accept Renako and understand that Renako just want her as a friend.

Too bad that reasons like this never make me like a character more. They always feel like the usual cheap cop outs to me that authors do when they want readers to like an actually unlikable character but can't really manage to do it properly. I've seen it many times and it never works for me. I just can't find myself caring about her at all. She's the reason why I even stopped reading this manga for quite some time and I doubt the author will ever be able to make me even remotely like her.
The worst part about the current arc being over at some point, is that we're probably going back to Mai and thus my desire to keep reading this will plummet once again.

I like Ajisai as a character a lot, but I can't bring myself to ship her with Renako. Her motherly vibes are just too strong, it throws me off, and their dynamic as friends is ideal. They might find each other cute and kind (which applies to every girl on the series tbh) but I don't think the chemistry for lovers is there. Maybe I'm just biased against ''and they were both bottoms'' situations, since I'm a sucker for moe gap, but that's just my thoughts.

Ajisai isn't being particularly motherly to Rena at all. Rena is taking care of Ajisai much more than the other way around while Ajisai quietly has a bit of a mental breakdown.
