I appreciate it's world-building and themes of self-reflection to find purpose and meaning in living your life. The art is also good in my opinion but that's just subjective. The thing is though, I feel like there's just too many things wrong with the story.
There's honestly just too many characters. I'm having a hard time trying to keep up with all of them, and I can't really decide if they're going to be important to the story or just another extra. Like who am I supposed to be attached to? All of them? None of them? A lot of them are introduced as someone important but the next thing you know they're just gone. It's possibly just because they're going to come back at some point but who knows when that's happening. I might have already forgotten about them by the time they came back.
The conflicts are just... too unmemorable to me as well. That time with the Tyrant Oar, that time with Sara and the duel, it doesn't feel like there's any tension. I will give credit to when they fought with the bandits though, it actually had some kind of meaning.
I would not recommend it personally but I would still give it a try. Maybe it would have gotten better in the future after I posted this.
