I just spent the past week or so reading the manga and man the second half of the series blew my expectations out of the water. This chapter is a hell of a one to catch up to but I’m actually quite excited to see where it goes after this. I’m invested in of course the main couple but surprisingly a lot of the side characters as well (Lilly especially)

Also I know that pivots towards drama in a series with a more comedic start are always bound to create divisions in fanbases, but I am surprised to see complaints about the story’s direction. Like a lot of this was foreshadowed pretty early on. Hell, the game world is literally called “Revolution”. I get it’s maybe not the next masterpiece of fantasy writing but I think the character work has been strong and the interweaving of the plot threads has been quite engaging and unexpected. Then again, binge-reading a series probably gives me a very different perspective.

Wouldn't it be funny if when Claire get arrested, the commoners who have been helped by her food redistribution program rise up in defiant of both governments and try to rescue her, thus elevate her into becoming a revolutionary subject instead of the noble villain she try to play? Yes, THANK YOU I was starting to feel insane with all of these people giving me the reaction. I mean, as you said, a lot of this is lore dump. Most of it for the past 25 chapters or so has felt like they were shoehorning trying to force in some sort of renaissance revolutionary plotline, when the original premise had nothing to do with it. I mean, I'd be a fan if it was an actually good writer doing it well, but this is not that
