that punch wasnt enough and then for kanoko to stop her annoyed the hell out of me

honestly i could see Goeidou liking Sumika it was something i was already thinking was what was really going on but even still the shit Goeidou does is some real bs and again a punch wasnt enough

and lastly with Kanoko idk what to even say about her like i just dont like her the things she do the ways she acts..... hopefully next ch we see what happened before Sumika had gotten there but for now the whole situation is very annoying at this point

but will say this at least things are still interesting and is seeming to come to an end though will say i am kinda worried when this little arc ends cause i feel like things will get very boring once things goes back to the other 2

but hell i hope im wrong but i also feel things will become very predictable with whats to come after this arc

Goeidou got off much too light. I hope she trips and bites her tongue off or gets hit by a truck. This won't make me like Kanako because she hasn't been redeemed for being a creepy hyper posessive "friend" but I do feel really bad for her. That sort of trauma will never go away and it breaks my heart anytime someone goes through that.

I’m honestly no longer surprised by the amount of people in the comments that still just either trying to write this whole Arc off because it involves Kanoko or are still trying to pretend this isn’t SA or is even remotely justified.

Doesn’t really matter what ya’ll think matters or not, but it is a fact that one of the characters were just violated and that can’t be wiped clean to just another status-quo Arc.

Besides, this is a story about mentally-ill lesbians, so a status quo never actually existed.

After reviewing chapter 58 and 59, I don't think anything happened. There are several reasons why I believe it, number 1 the author wouldn't want a rape scene in her manga, #2 whats her name was giving Konoko a choice and I believe that Konoko told her what she wanted. #3 the police ariivrd and would have definaely would have arrested her for rape. It seems that she likes Nene-san and thats may be her motivation for all this as well as geeting Konoko and Sumika to express their true feelings together. Thanks for the translation

Goeidou still best character in this manga. Absolute girl boss.

I really like that the "I hate Sumika most" line can be read as either her hiding her feelings for her or what I suspect, hate that Sumika reminds her of how she used to be.

No doubt about it Kanoko is changed due to SA on her. I think Goeidou "lesson" absolutely brought Kanoko to a perspective that she needs the most from someone is the support that Sumika gives rather than inflation of her crush. I really hope we get to see Sumika just hold Kanoko while she cries, and it's never fully addressed what happened to her. The only thing we really need to know is what we were shown, and how Kanoko will process the idea of love now. Then again they could also go the other way and have Kanoko contunie a cycle of abuse.

Damn, seeing an abusive person being portrayed in such an accurate way is terrifying. Even if nothing physical actually happened, Kanoko was still put through a traumatic experience with someone she trusted. Most of the times the creep is portrayed as an unattractive, weird, deranged person, not as a cunning, seemingly normal lady. In real life, a perpetrator can look like literally anyone else.
I think it's good that such a delicate issue is being portrayed in general media, but it still makes me uncomfortable to witness how quickly the situation goes off the rails and how easily it is for someone to render a person so vulnerable. Even if you're surrounded by friends and have easy access to the authorities, you might still become a victim before you can do anything about it.
I hope the author handles such a complex issue with responsability and care, even if Kanoko is not the most liked character of the franchise or didn't actually get physically assaulted, she is still a victim and will represent something important for real life victims. The abuse isn't over when the physical violence ends; the aftermatch and the choice to report it or not, the interactions with the abuser after the fact, the psychological scarring, it's something you have to deal with on the aftermath and can only truly understand after you become a victim yourself.

you are giving the author too much credit when the bitch itself told sumika to not make such a big deal out of it and the author still thinks that bitch shoudn’t be arested so nop, you won’t get realism out of SA since most japanese authors love to brush up rape let alone SA

aw fuck the way she was scrubbing, something did happen huh. I'm not fan of kanoko but that sucks

I mean, even if something didn't happen, having someone like that almost force themselves onto you (and getting physical with you and touching you, albeit not sexually, as saw actually happened) - especially someone as introverted as Kanoko - could easily make someone feel disgusted.

Okay y'all know that the stuff we saw with our eyeballs on the page more than qualifies as sexual assault by itself, right?

In many countries, yes.
Japan... Is... Not most countries.
While I'm not a lawyer (and, not a Japanese lawyer at that) and haven't researched into the situation and I'm not sure when/if it's changed - for the longest time rape was defined as "penetration of the vagina (by a penis)" in Japan. Meaning that... anal rape was a very legal gray area. And it's also for this reason why vaginal sex isn't really something on the table for "delivery health" (read: escorts) in Japan, at least legally and openly, because vaginal sex for money is considered unlawful prostitution. Whereas anal... isn't.

When it comes to woman-on-woman sexual assault in Japan, I would be utterly shocked if it's handled with the same tone and seriousness as it is in many other countries. Even if there are laws on the books that could be used to prosecute it.

God they really put Kanako through the wringer. I'm really happy though that Nene and Sumika were both making sure that Kanako knows they're on her side and are there to provide a support network. Also Nene calling out Goeido like that was satisfying!

I assume Goeidou didn't do anything with Kanoko in the end, but the latter was distraught. Firstly because she was psychologically violated (skirt removed, touched, blocked in a corner and so on), secondly because Goeidou made him understand exactly what Love means (and they are not just beautiful words, but also physical acts such as kisses, touching, and ultimately sex) and lastly that Kanoko is actually faking it all for Hime and Sumika is currently just a stand-in. I can't wait to read the next chapters even though I long to go back to Hime's story.

If you pay attention, it is now from volume 9 cap 42 that the whole story has moved to Kanoko .. as many as 19 chapters equal to 3 volumes .. perhaps even all of volume 12 (excluding the specials). Isn't it time to reach a turning point so that Kanoko puts her soul at peace with Hime, she closes the matter (perhaps leaving Sumika who returns to Nene) and we return to the two main protagonists?

Goeidou should go after Hime next. That way she gets to antagonise both Kanoko and Sumika. Also Hime the perfect target as she has no clue Kanoko has the hots for her.

Hey now don’t overlook the importance of a $200 fine and a slap on the wrist. Getting in trouble with the Japanese police is a bad business even if the crime committed it likely to be flat out ignored.

Most people should knows that the social repercussions would far outstrip anything the law could ever do (not to mention how being LGBT in Japan is incredibly taboo), Geoidou would likely loose her job and her apartment and possibly even her own life as the fallout of such accusations tallied against her. Though if she has good legal counsel, she would probably pay off Kanoko to redraw her complaint as it would likely be better for Kanoko in the long run.

I personally see it as even more tragic.
Kanoko is acting behind her friend's back, not knowing about her crush and how Kanoko interacted with Yano and Sumika.
On top of that Kanoko spilled the secret of her facade to Sumika by tearing her down.
Even when it happened with Yano spilling the beans to everyone in class that she was lying, the poor girl was scarred.

I highly doubt Hime will trust her friend again... rather she will distance herself.

GOD DAMN IT
I HOPE THAT DAMNED WITCH GETS HIT BY A BUS THEN SURVIVES WITH CRIPPLING PHYSICAL DISABILITIES

Oh, how i would've beat her up
And anyways, even if Sumika wasnt in love with Kanoko, she (kanako) is still la child and that damned witch is a fricking adult
From that reason only, that fricking witch deserves to be beaten to a pulp
I am so mad
