It's been 7 months, but man am I glad that someone picked this back up. This series just oozes personality, and I'm already a fan of the MC Fuji. Since chapter 1 came out, I started reading Cosmos which also has an MC with lie detecting abilities, so it's cool to see how both series use it to further the plot (I do recommend Cosmos btw).
Thanks for translating this chapter, I hope that more will be possible in the future. Also, don't worry about the sfx, the quality of the scanlation overall was really good, so if you just put the translated word by the sfx as you have done, then all is well.

It really is excellent, to the point I'm baffled Yen licensed Six Survivors first. Like, is it better than "What if My Hero Academia was grim Scandi noir"? Really? Fuji's dialogue in chapter 3 and 7, her back-and-forth with you-know-who in chapter 4, and the big reveals in 8 through 9 are straight up 10/10 territory in my book and so far there's nothing I'd score less than an 8. Virtually no fanservice, multiple female characters talking about stuff that isn't hot guys, student-teacher plot threads that aren't thinly veiled skeeze, not afraid to have long conversations or give plot beats time to breathe... the only glaring flaw I see is that the explanations of people's powers are frequently eye-rollingly dumb (I might be translating you-know-who's ability wrong from chapter 3 but as far as I could tell it's painfully close to "Did you know we only use ten percent of our brain?" nonsense). It's still terrific, one of the best things I've read in years, and I really hope it keeps the level of quality going it's managed so far.

No, I checked the raw again and as far as I can tell it very much does say that. It has "10m", no unit for "ten lots of one thousand" or whatever, and next to "m" it has the katakana for "meters".
Several of their powers are in many respects not that impressive - you get energy blasts and whatnot but this is really not shounen territory with tier lists and what have you, at least not so far. I don't want to spoil anything, though, since some of the "weakest" characters in the lineup are in some ways some of the coolest/best-written IMO.
(To be clear, FWIW I've done 2-9 for myself so far with a combination of MTL, very basic Japanese and looking stuff up. Wasn't planning on uploading them - though I'm getting tempted... - I just wanted to comment since I rate this series so highly and it's great to see other people like it. I haven't done SFX either apart from anything in speech bubbles, though I have redrawn all the title pages and done a simple English logo. I definitely got a couple of minor things wrong compared to demiurge - and I didn't do the text messages/IMs half as well as him - though as far as I can tell mine is otherwise largely the same, just a different style.)
