Anyways, not to get toooo off topic. I recently was replaying Grandia again, pretty cool game.

After finishing the Blue Reflection games (both are good, the anime is not but important to appreciate the second game), i'm playing Visual novels that are on my Steam account since a few years because steam sales. Currently playing "Lady In mystery" after finishing a quite bad VN where US national parks are waifu-ed. Yes, you read it right.

Sincerely, the Blue reflection games are pretty good. If you like magical girls and yuri, go for the first game. It's kind of amateurish, on some points, but it's worth it. The second game is different but is a nice sequel and a better game, i love his "summer encounter" vibe.

Also, CULTIC episode 2 done, "RIP AND TEAR" is therefore in pause for now, until i find a DOOM wad or a boomer-shooter worth my time in the next days.

Already done three times for both Hexen 1 and 2, i've also done Heretic multiple times (except the second). I love their level-design and the "puzzles". Kind of hard, but completly worth it ! I have such good memories about Heretic and Hexen. Played it in turns with my brother, while being quite baffled at the various puzzles, which in hindsight weren't that hard, but we are talking about two kids bashing their pea brains at it.
I wonder if I still have the disks for the games around...

I also remember trying Hexen 2 for the first time when i was 16. Impossible to just beat the first hub and i really tried. I knew it was a hard game puzzle-wise, i was searching for a mental challenge, i had it for sure. So much hours being lost in this hub ! Same experience as you. I remember the time at 25 when i've re-tried Hexen 2 and beat it for the first time in my life, it was not really hard, but it felt like an accomplishement ! I wonder if playing Resident Evil did help me to understand how Hexen 2 was working, with the hub system and the item-puzzles.

Anyone who liked DOOM must try Heretic and Hexen 1/2. Go for Hexen 2 before Hexen 1, it's less frustrating.

Started Expedition 33 yesterday. About an hour and a half into it I ran into a fatal error that crashed the game, so I've been troubleshooting that today. Hoping up to date drivers resolves it.

They need to give it the System Shock 1 treatment already, full HD top down remake so I can see all that freaky Many flesh shit in detail. (Closest modern version being Dead Space series I guess)
