I recommend Trails. Could always play the first three games of Sky, and then take a break with some of the Ys series games.

Just found a copy of Trails in the Sky 1st, so I'm probably going to start there and make my way through Crossbell, Reverie and Daybreak.

Def, I was running Skarbrand and cursed the few warriors of chaos he starts with, cause I finish all battles with the big S and the bloodletters, before those walking red turtles even reach the battle. Slow armies just suck unless everything you have is slow, sturdy and can regen infinitely.
