What Manga Tropes Get On Your Nerves And Why?

The strange insistence in post apocalyptic manga for everyone to look like super models. Like this is the one setting where everything should look a bit messed up. And also that there will be no attempts at reforming civilization

A confession that goes unheard/not understood so nothing actually changes but it's supposed to feel like something has.

@RNGN00b Yeah. While I haven't appreciated harem anymore for years and skip a lot of series with that tag, it's not something that would make me drop a series I'm already reading. However, utterly idiotic MCs have made me drop series. Before long, it's insufferable when the whole plot is written so that the MC only makes stupid choices that nobody with a working brain should make, time after time. It's a good thing I do drop such series because I tend to poison the comment sections of such series by continuously badmouthing the MC, to the annoyance of those who can stomach such series.

Generic Isekai manga where MC gets overpowered (because he has cheats or he has talent in magic or swordsmanship for no inexplicable reason) in a medieval fantasy land that has goblins and demon lords ect ect.

Why is it that most of these manga have to be Isekai? There’s no point of an Isekai being an Isekai if they don’t mention it anymore a few chapters in. Also, why doesn’t Isekai feature other places like the future or some apocalyptic world? And why does Isekai almost always have harem in it. I’m not a fan of romance but I’d much prefer romance over harem.

Some of the most trending manga in Mangadex for a while now has been the same cookie cutter Isekai garbage. Although it’s shifted to manga featuring villainess’ (I haven’t read any of them so not much to say)

I dunno why people enjoy this genre/trope so much. Maybe power fantasy snobs are just built different.

As a sci-fi junkie I’m hard pressed to find any I mean I have a couple decent isekai you probably haven’t read If you want them. And as a kenshi player I’m sad there’s no post apocalyptic ones either
