School castes, as soon as I see that term I cringe so hard. If the mc sighs a lot and resigns to being at the bottom without even trying but still complain about the fact a school caste exists I drop it. Bonus points if the MC carries his slung bag over his shoulder and puts his hand in his pocket.

Another one is when it's a harem and the MC has a male friend but he gets no girls interested in them. Dude is just their for comedic relief.

Fantasy of power both in special schools of free buffet bulling and fantasy worlds, good for nothing male protagonists with mentally ill female characters flocking around, for any of these it doesn't matter if it's NTR or not. And yuri bait, just make bishonen date and yuri girls bloom together.

i wonder if JP rice is super amazing on its own if not some kinda sponsorship not so subtle advertising, other than like egg yolk topping or so i don't think i've ever rly had rice without some kinda meat/protein (or maybe it just tastes amazing chilled/room temp b/c i don't think i've ever had onigiri or a 'bento' and i imagine most schoolkids wouldn't have access to a microwave for that. tho i've had kimbap/teh korea ver and even then i preferred it heated up)
I've heard the rice over there has a different flavor compared to places like the U.S. where it's pretty much just...bland. I can't say for sure, but even if it's true I can't imagine it being so great that EVERY isekai protag needs to obsess over it.

Jp's "mc is so super incredibly kind" for saving people by accident monologue. especially when its something done for as little effort as humanely possible and ends up having a bunch of random characters use it as an excuse to fall for someone even though it came at 0 cost in time or materials to the MC.

protagonists being forced into love triangles that last for ages.
I wholeheartedly believe that most romance manga would be better if the characters started dating extremely early without any dumb doomed to lose homewrecker characters existing

Those title where it give you a very interesting plotline on the first chapter but got extremely boring after a few chapters (most of the romcom light novel Adaptation falled into that category)
And Pixiv baiting.

Censored Nudity from Ecchi Manga, characters we don't remember because they only have one scene and then they're gone from existence, confusing storylines, and lastly ridiculous long names we don't need at all.

System stories which always have some absurd power levels, extravagant technique names, lots of random and bizarre props, that are all ultimately rendered useless in the face of the main character's plot armor.

They're just incessant noise, they're everywhere and in every stories with a system, and sometimes those stories don't even need a system to develop this load of crap. :aquadrink:

Aristocracy/royalty that makes no sense, they actually need to do something for their subjects or you have nonstop peasant wars.
Succession laws exist for a good reason, just ask every kingdom that has gone through a civil war/succession crisis in history.
Religion is evil and corrupt, no exceptions.
Cities/castles are built like they exist in our world, instead of tackling the challenges of the setting. Magic and monsters would set a different paradigm of fortifications.
Overly long fights, especially when one side had a no-risk hidden power/trump and there wasn't a good reason not to use it already, except "plot demands it". If you can one punch the fight, your duty is to do it.
Forced Drama. Nuff said.
Things only happening "on screen". Time flows and events happen in-universe, even when we aren't observing. Especially annoying, when used in tandem with forced drama.
When you run out of ideas for romance, introduce a stalking horse/triangle from no where. Bonus points if one of the leads suddenly has huge baggage with them that wasn't hinted about at all.
Consistent consequences. If A died from it, then B should too, unless there is a good explanation for it.
Fake deaths when the character clearly should've died. Unless there is a good reason for it later, just kill 'em off.
Death/Dark/Gore for the sake of it. It doesn't make your work mature or high stakes or interesting, it just makes it edgy.
Redeeming characters, but them then never facing the consequences of their actions. Especially if they clearly should face legal punishment of some sort, but it's just brushed aside, because they now helped the MC.
Way too young protagonists doing stuff that they shouldn't be able to, even with special powers and eveyone is just okay with the elementary schooler doing all that. You can skip ahead and age them up, author.
Don't use power levels if you aren't going to keep it consistent.
