Have to agree with WanderingWastrel: I learn a great deal of information from the chapter notes of the best scanlators. One of the greatest perq's of the digital age is the ability to read something like a chapter note, open another tab and hit google and wikipedia to find out more. It beats the old days when I would have fifteen or so books open on the table (and end up spilling a cup of tea on them).
