I can't say as that I'm displeased with this chapter; dodged one cliche drama trope, and set up a variety of diverging options going forward. I think I sincerely enjoy the fact that while there IS drama in this manga at times, it's used as "short" accents, rather than a drawn-out weighty theme. In that, I find it eminently suitable as a RomCom.

I think your prayers are likely to go unanswered, though, with mom (most likely) on board, sis running not-very-subtle interference, Momo, and the rest of the FOS crew, I think a frustrated jealousy interlude is more accurate than full blown drama. Though, maybe we'll be surprised and Takaya will be adult, accepting and supportive... Objectively their gossipy friends pushed the ship more than he has.
