If Chita was sexy or cute, but had the same personality, people would still hate her

Plus it's not like Chika chapters aren't so called "gooner baits" as well, like the pool video chapter, or even this one. I'd say that Toyoda x Inuyama chapters are the ones least likely to be ecchi, since Inuyama tries to avoid lewding his girlfriend. @BestBoy 's argument is just stupid attempt of claiming superiority when arguing about manga with gravure models cosplaying main girl on covers

It feels like an afterthought rather than some organic development.

Hmm, like that's fair and also I really like that graduation is the external force causing Chita to face growing up b/c I think that's fairly common. So like maybe the author could have started the "facing the future" arcs with Chi, but either way the author had to build up all the flaws she's gotta now work through. (And going back, Chi really isn't in that many chapters).
