@Arx724 He had no problems with throwing it across the room, and didn't seem to have any problems with catching the ball either (which is also tricky until you learn how the gloves work), but throwing things is surprisingly difficult until you learn it. Signals go so slowly from the brain to the hand that your brain basically has to tell the hand to let go as early as when you start moving your arm forwards. And mistiming by a fraction of a second will send the ball everywhere except where you intended it to go..
Give the poor boy some slack (and hopefully with some training he'll get better. If he doesn't get better, then you can call him disabled, at least when it comes to that particular skill. Much like a dyslexic will have a lot harder time learning to read, there's surely something similar for brains that have problems letting go of stuff)
