Boy's definitely not feelin' all that well in the head, trying to sort things out however he can.

Considering his idea of solving utter boredom of life he developed as a middle schooler was "I'll become a vampire," I'm not entirely sure he should really be left to work things out on his own.

Kou is half vamp and Nazu is born one so there are some wacky things we don't know about

Ay didn't Kiku died because of the sun. Cuz if it happened because she turned back into human, then why did Mahiru became vampire and died.
This makes no sense. They're worrying for nothing.
It's not like they witnessed the event happen; all they know is that Kiku died in the end after following through with her plan. They think they know what happened, but I'm betting that more likely than not that they're very wrong about it.

I don't really understand why this would be the case? I feel like the only thing we've ever heard about the sun in-universe is that it's an inconvenience. We've at the very least seen multiple vampires out and about while it's light enough out to call it morning.

I'm very satisfied that someone brought up the fact that it isnt certain what would happen to nazuna as she is a true born vampire. Also kou seems to be drifting apart from nazuna and having no interest in becoming a vampire, I'm starting to really dislike him. I just really hope this doesn't end with nazuna becoming a lame human.

I like Hatsuka, he really is sensible with how he deals with Nazuna and Kou's situation.

For starters, Kou already is a very special case, his half-vampire state clearly is because of Nazuna being a dhampir, so we don't know how things would go, but I agree that it is best to not press things to go quickly... more so when they all have so much to put in order.

I'm pretty sure they've never done so without being under some shade. Regardless, the sun must be a significant impediment-- if not an outright danger-- given that vampires are consistently exhibited as living night lives (with all its inconveniences) and given that Mahiru turned to dust along with Kiku after becoming a vampire.

Hatsuka's talking confidently about happenings he wasn't anywhere around as well as about a mechanism nobody truly knows anything about-- and I suppose it's fine to regardless speak so direly, given the gravity of the risks should he be right, but still. I have a feeling that the risks may be real, if only because this conflict with Nazuna being apprehensive about telling Kou about this thing that could kill her seems like the setup for some relationship allegory involving adequate communication.

That, and-- mechanically speaking-- I feel as though having to impugn non-antagonistic assertions after introducing them with certainty and without impugning within the scene they're made is just asking to get messy, so (despite myself) I'm inclined to believe that what Hatsuka's saying has at least substantial merit.

I guess I just never got that we were supposed to assume that's why Mahiru died. Like Kiku was out in the daylight when she led Kou to his mom and I mean, sure, maybe we can start playing "there's a certain AMOUNT of sunlight that is required to be harmful" but then that would just kind of suck.

To be clear, my understanding of Mahiru's death was to act as a confirmation from Susuki saying she couldn't suck Kou's blood because it would kill him. Azami confirms this. It was a mutual suicide because they loved each other. I don't think the sun played any part in it.

Edit: It's also worth noting Miss Detective attacked Akkun at night with the intent to kill him so I don't even think we can use the teacher as reference that the sun provides a finishing touch or something.

So from what I understand here, where she to become human, maybe she won't die, but instead suddenly age to a body of 40 years old.

Could work for a bittersweet type of ending I guess.
