If what's rendered as "normalfag" is "riajuu", that's a term pretty entrenched in otaku and chan culture (if not outright originating from 2ch) and would reasonably be rendered "normalfag"-- a term that's older than the rise to prominence of the incel subculture, which is distinct from the 4chan culture umbrella.

It'd also be appropriate to render it as "normie". Perhaps moreso, since I don't think Kou browses imageboards or is any level of otaku. Still, remember who's translating and who their first audience is.

...honestly, I didn't even notice the usage of that term in my first read.


/a/nons on 4chan have been consistently uploading typeset scanlations on MangaDex since Tonikaku dropped this after chapter 168.

For what it's worth, my (limited) survey of the raws says it's faithful to the original script, and regardless more so than the comically reckless Viz adaptation.

The problem is, I don't think he has, not yet or not completely.

He is feeling left out, and he has certainly been thinking a lot more about it. He says "I might be falling in love", but I think this is him trying to gather her attention due to not getting his blood sucked.

Hearing “normalfag” killed my immersion and suspense of disbelief immediately. like You’ve got a full page of Nazuna almost giving into her urges while Kou is vulnerable and I can’t at all take it seriously cuz I’m thinking about how a couple pages back to Kou said “normalfags”.

Well now you know. /a/ is 4chan's anime board, and several scan groups with /a/ in their names are just a bunch of people who got together on /a/ and started translating and typesetting. If you're into yuri, you might run into /u/ in group names, which means it comes from posters on 4chan's yuri board (unless it's a reddit username, which are rendered as /u/username). Other boards get in on scanlating occasionally too if something crosses into their board topic, so if you find other groups with one or two letters between slashes they might also be from 4chan.
