Chapter 24 that just came out corresponds to chapter 24 in the web novel. The web novel and main story ended on chapter 467 but there are currently 10 epilogue chapters and I believe more coming. I read the web novel in untranslated form here https://ncode.syosetu.com/n9055cl/ as a method to practice my Japanese. As far as English translation goes Divine Dao Library picked up the light novel but I do not know how far along they are yet and as for the web novel, to my knowledge I do not think any translations of it are around.

comedy, intriguing storytelling, and character is interesting and well drawn.

honestly there is no shortcoming in this except 2 things :
1. slow update (i can take my time)
2. 1-3 chapter is slow, interesting part comes later at chapter 5

I like it so far even with the story flaws. The romance tag really makes me worry about the future though. Don't want it to derail for some random romance plot that. I don't see many ways to do it well with the current story set up.

they hint at it in the dungeon to make it clearer, but literally this whole time its been about the relationship with pochi. take away the word familiar, and youve got a guy and a girl who have lived together for 800 or so years... mc is just too dense to realize theyre a bit more than just friendly mage and familiar.
