i think they're actually finally going to get into the romance between the mc and the saint at chapter 50, at least that's what it looks like so far

I think this deserves a higher rating, I don't know why but it just feels fun to read. It's a little too slow when it comes to the actual romance aspect, but I like the fact they fleshed out the characters and dynamics first. So overall I'm fine with waiting for a longer story, as long as the romance does happen eventually then I'm satisfied.

And? Many other mangas do the exact same thing. Personally I like a slower story, if you don't then that's just your taste, not a problem with the manga itself. (Of course it can drag on, but this hasn't really dragged on much at all)
