I’m guessing that it was in English in the Japanese version too. Most Japanese people probably don’t realize that its lame because English is their second language.

Edit: nvm I looked up the term in the TL notes (廃人) it‘s slang for addict, dude really named them game addicts 💀

nah that was only at first back when MC was 5 yr old which is actually unreadable in official TL. it now shows properly which is summoner

I mostly skim through the text anyways. I don't mind it much. You get used to it. There are lots of rough TLs out there. This one ain't half bad compared to some really crappy translations out there.
