As I stated in the other thread:reminder that you can report chapters for excessive watermarking and advertising from the drop down menu inside the reader, would highly encourage everyone to do this so the site admins see it
This is a misinterpretation of the rules:
Aggregator watermarks are not allowed. Watermarks originating from the scan group are completely acceptable.3.2.5 Aggregator watermarks are not allowed. Watermarks from raw provider sites should be avoided when possible, but are not explicitly banned.
Please do not report these chapters. They will not be accepted and you are liable to have your reporting rights revoked.
I understand you may be unhappy with this group, but this is not the way to go about it.
what is the right way to go about this if covering 1/4 of the page with a watermark is allowed? its pretty clear most people are unhappy with rithar scans discouraging other groups from continuing to translateAs I stated in the other thread:

I would encourage you to block the group in your main site settings
I would also encourage you to reach out to the other group and encourage them not to discontinue the series if you find them preferable. Rithar can ignore all the negative feedback they want. Praise and encouragement will go a lot farther and spread a lot more positivity
this hasnt panned out with anything else rithar picked up btw despite the praise and encouragement given, blocking is good advice thoughI would also encourage you to reach out to the other group and encourage them not to discontinue the series if you find them preferable. Seconding this. The original group in the example titles I've listed above seem to have understandably chosen not to continue.this hasnt panned out with anything else rithar picked up btw despite the praise and encouragement given, blocking is good advice though
This is a known sniping MTL group, they translate just a few chapters to get ahead of the original group and then stop completely until the original group either catches up or quits, not to mention the watermarking and the site advertising, do not entertain this trash.
They've been doing this for many titles like Uchi ni Kaeru and Kyou Kara.
Money.
Huh? Money how? How do they get paid by sniping for just a few chapters?Money.
They host the newest chapters on their own website behind paywalls. They snipe the most popular manga because that'll make them the most money. All of the manga they've sniped have been on the popular new titles list. This is common for a lot of these groups.Huh? Money how? How do they get paid by sniping for just a few chapters?
Luckily rule 1.8 forces them to post them here, soon enough after they posted them on their own site (doesn't matter if it is behind a paywall or not). So it is not as if you actually lose anything by simply waiting for a bit instead of visiting their site. They host the newest chapters on their own website behind paywalls. Iirc it's mangadex that make the external links and not the official publishers themselves. They do it out of goodwill apparently. I doubt they'd allow it for illegal piracy groups to be honest, that'd get this place shut down faster than you can say... Well I can't figure out something fast to say, but you know what I mean.Luckily rule 1.8 forces them to post them here, soon enough after they posted them on their own site (doesn't matter if it is behind a paywall or not). Honestly, if they want to get traffic then they should not be posting the actual chapters here anyway. They should use the "external link" chapters, like how most other paywall scanlators (such as jnovelclub) does.
ps: I wish the external links were not the default choice when you click "next chapter" and there are more than 1 option - but 1 option is an external link...
