The only other hook this series may have had, the isekai and meta knowledge, the political intrigue, and even the magic system, all ended up woefully underexplored and also suffering from all the same spinning on its wheel the relationship did. Like, just look at how many people here lamented how the hand thing went nowhere and if anything just made the issue of the prince stupids, an already bad situation, get even worse.
