So I got this prediction that it's going to be revealed that An got "Big Fish in a Small Pond" syndrome is she' not the exceptional top of the class student now that she's apparently going to school with other gifted students. Probably a case of going from being the top of her old class to the middle of the pack at the new school. So the bus ride is probably a relief getting to reconnect with an old classmate.

Reading this chapter, I remembered this one person I reconnected with at university. We were classmates once in highschool but weren't really that close. It played out similar to this, where we just by coincidence were in the same area and just... talked randomly.

It wasn't some deep conversations about life and atoms, just mundane topics like catching up at what we were doing and the enrollment process, that sort of stuff. But I guess life just threw me a curve ball and we hung out more often than not after that.

I fell so fucking hard for the person.

Still can't forget that one time I walked them home and we just stood in front of the gate for a good few minutes staring at each other.

It didn't actually work out afterwards, and I could say I've moved on for the most part. But that feeling of something brewing underneath was captured so accurately by this chapter I can't help but type out a long-ass comment about my experiences.

If the next chapters show that kind of romance I almost felt then this'll be peak.

Good on him for making the first move, im sure she also appreachiates that she doesnt have to do it. And good on her for actually using that opportunity, tho the "in your head am i the kind of person whod ignore you" seems a bit odd since from an outside perspective it seems as if she had been distancing herself. Thats probably just her beign an awkward kid tho, so hopefully with the ice broken that wont happen again.
